First, polyester fabric has high strength and elasticity recovery ability. Therefore, it is firm and durable, wrinkle-resistant and iron-free.
Second, polyester fabric is bad in moisture absorption and has a stuffy feeling when wearing in summer. It is easy to carry static electricity and affects comfort in winter. However, it is very easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength hardly decreases. It does not deform, and has good washable performance.
Third, polyester is the best heat-resistant fabric in the combined fabric. It has thermoplastic which can be made into pleated skirt and the pleats lasting.
Fourth, polyester fabric has great light resistance. Its sunlight resistance is better than natural fiber fabrics. In particular, the sunlight resistance behind the glass is very good, almost as same as acrylic.
Polyester fabric has good resistance to various chemicals. Acid and alkali are not very destructive to it, while it is not afraid of mold and insects.
Nowadays, many customers prefer to pure polyester base fabric when choosing a scrim backing fabric for their laminated products. First, compared to pure cotton cloth or 65/35 polyester cotton basecloth, when polyester fabric laminated with film or other materials, it uses less glue and easier to adhere to. The most important thing is its costs saving. Second, polyester scrim is used wider on lamination, the cost is cheaper than cotton scrim. Third, after laminating with polyester backing fabric, the surface of composite materials touches more conformable and smooth.
